About Us

LINCOLN TERRACE ART STUDIO & GALLERY offers a unique learning environment for artists or different ages. The aim of our instruction is to foster appreciation for the extraordinary world of art and to cultivate technical expertise in drawing and painting. Using diverse media such as pencil, watercolors, tempera and oils, our students learn to draw still-lifes, landscapes, human figure and portraits. Lessons also expose students to decorative and applied arts as well as teach fundamentals of theory and history of art.

Leonid and Sonya Osseny are both professional artists and designers. Between them they have decades of experience successfully teaching art to students of different ages and skill levels. The studio has opened its doors at the current location in downtown Skokie in 1997, and since then saw a generation of artists come through its doors. We are proud that some of our former students choose to enroll their children in our classes.​
